Post #10 Semester (学期) in Review

こんにちは みんな!

Thank you so much for a wonderful semester! This is a temporary good bye as the semester comes to a close. In leu of that fact, I want to spend some time reflecting on it:

This semester spent learning Japanese was enriching as I was able to dive back into a language that has been near and dear to me since the 5th grade. One of the things that was the most challenging about Japanese was the overlaps between it and Korean and really took some time to not expect the same things in Japanese as I would in Korean.

I have truly loved the blog posts from the semester as a way to become familiar with the language and really practice the grammar taught in class in more practical way. I have taken the time to do these posts and really learn more outside of class in terms of vocabulary and things that are relevant to my interests.

My favorite part of the semester has been working with everyone in pairs over the course of the semester. I have truly come to create beautiful friendships and a working understanding of Japanese. Even though I am taking the second course in the Fall, I am going to take the time to dive more into the culture through the summer.
