Hi! My name is Ash. My favorite color is turquoise and I love learning languages. I'm a figure skater, but I love the arts in general. This includes: reading, creative writing, and drawing to name a few.

Now that you know a little bit about myself, I want to bring your attention to the reason why you're here and why I'm learning Japanese.

- When I first started studying Japanese, it was because I wanted to understand the lyrics sung from my favorite Japanese artist: Hikaru Utada. My older sibling is the one that got me into their music and I wanted nothing more than to understand. This first exposure to the language had me wanting to know more about the culture and the history of Japan. With that being said, I didn't study it from the time I hit middle school until now.

- I dove back into the language because I have a love and deep appreciation for the East Asian culture. It is the first foreign language that I started learning and I want to continue learning a language I have loved for so long.
